Completed during covid lockdown, this painting had an unfamiliar process in some ways.
Gradually I applied and then worked together disparate and random layers of colour and marks, discovering in the composition a tension, an anchoring and a holding together.
And I am reminded that a painting can tell many stories... and maybe what seems a distraction may be part of a bigger picture.
